Homologation for Oldtimers

Oldtimers require more than enthusiasm for historic engineering. They demand technical understanding, documentary precision and experience in dealing with originality, condition and road-legality. In Germany, a vehicle qualifies as a historic vehicle only if, at the time of assessment, it was first put into service at least 30 years ago, largely corresponds to its original condition, is in a good state of preservation and serves the preservation of motoring heritage - the classification is based on an expert report under §23 StVZO.
Between history and present-day registration
Oldtimers are never just about paperwork. They are about bringing together history, engineering and present-day registration reality.
We support owners, collectors, dealers and restoration projects in guiding vehicles toward assessment and road registration in a structured, credible and technically respectful way.

We analyse the technical condition, document status and any approval-relevant features.
We structure the existing records, identify gaps and build a solid basis for the next steps.
We support the assessment of restoration status, period-correct modifications and road-approval-relevant deviations.
We prepare the vehicle for the inspection process and align the documentation with the actual technical condition.
Imports and special cases.
We also support vehicles with missing documentation, complex provenance or unusual technical history.
No. German law also requires the vehicle to be largely in original condition, in good preserved condition and relevant to the preservation of motoring heritage; the formal classification depends on an expert opinion under §23 StVZO.
Not necessarily. What matters is the technical and historical classification of the specific vehicle.
Missing documents do not automatically end the project. What matters is whether the vehicle can still be documented and technically understood in a credible way.
Yes. Imported vehicles often require especially careful alignment between documentation, technical condition and registration strategy.
